17 WILL YOU STILL BE MINE (BONUS) With a new lyrical parody.
Jane's new CD, "Easy to Remember" was arranged by Tedd Firth, her long-time pianist and musical director. She was thrilled to have Jay Leonhart once again as her bassist, his fourth recording with her. Peter Grant rounded out the trio, on drums.
This time, however, Jane fulfilled her dream of having a "big" band, so Bucky Pizzarelli, Warren Vaché, Harry Allen and Aaron Weinstein, the exciting young violinist, joined the party up at Nola. Tony DeSare sang a duet with Jane on Ellington's "I Didn't Know About You" and Gil Chimes, whose father was in harmonica bands in the ''30s with Jane's dad, played harmonica on "Where or When".
"Easy to Remember" is filled with well-known standards and some that are a little less-well known than they should be. Says Jane, "I love singing with big bands and I love it when people dance while I'm singing. So if you like dancing – slow or swinging – this is for you. Get out your dancing shoes and have a good time!" _____________________________________________________________

Her musicians, as always are among the best in New York, starting with musical director and pianist Tedd Firth who has emerged as a prodigious new star in current jazz circles. The trio continues with perennial jazz all-star Jay Leonhart on bass and Joe Cocuzzo on drums.
The gifted young reed player, Scott Kreitzer contributes tenor sax solos on three of the cuts. The title song, by Sammy Fain and E.Y. Harburg is one of the lesser-known songs of World War II, but Jane felt it was particularly appropriate in today's uncertain world, and as a theme for the album, which author, as critic and Will Friedwald observes in his liner notes, "is ground zero for bright tomorrows, and its songs form a veritable axis of optimism, cockeyed or otherwise".
